The Shadetree Company was established in 1999 while founder Tim Stabile was still in school at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  The business which mostly consisted of tree care and landscape maintenance helped support Tim through college as well as build valuable experience as a small business owner. Tim received an associate degree in arboriculture from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and a bachelor degree in urban forestry from Umass.  After graduation, Tim, his wife Caroline, and The Shadetree Company, made Wakefield, Rhode Island their new home.

The Shadetree Company has grown since then.  It now offers countless services, each done with a meticulous attention to detail and quality.
